First boat trip of the year

On Saturday we went out on the boat for the first time this year. We had a blast, the kids love the boat and little Ashlyn even thinks that she is ready to water ski! She loves to stand up on the wake surf board behind the boat, Peter has to sturdy the board while she stands there but she gets up by herself and this time she even tried holding the rope. Ryker loves it too-he just prefers to lie on his belly while he does it. We took our good friends Lisa, Rich, and Jayni with us. We all had a really good time with many many laughs!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy mother's day to all you mom's. I had a great morning, and I am sure I will have a great day. Whats better than having your husband wake up at 7:00 to make you breakfast in bed (yes, Peter was up at 7:00 on a weekend, that meant a lot in and of itself!) So he made me french toast and eggs-it was yummy. The best part is he secretly woke up the kids and had them bring me the breakfast in bed, and as they walked in they told me Happy Mother's Day. As you can tell it doesn't take much to please me. Ash also planted me some flowers at school and brought them home for me, and Pete got me a card and let me go to Victoria's Secret. Thank you Pete for giving me such a great day. I love you.

Skin cancer-YUCK!

For all of you who are wondering-this is what it looks like when you let skin cancer go too far. I have had a tiny little spot on my arm for about three years now. I got it frozen off about a year and a half ago but it came back. The spot has bugged me every day but I put off getting it looked at-not a good idea! I went this last Thursday to go get the spot taken out and it went from a little spot about the size of a pencil eraser to this. If skin cancer has been there for a while and you don't do anything about it, it spreads out and down beneath the skin. Moral of the story-get your skin checked!

Visit from Grandma, Aunt Katie, and cousin Jackson

We had a blast this last week with Grandma and the kids. The weather was beautiful while they were here. We got to go swimming 3 times, we went to McCormick train park (as well as many other parks). We watched Baby Mama(which by the way is pretty funny). We also did lots of shopping. Thanks for all the fun we had this past week Katie, Jackson, and Grandma.

Our last day together. We spent it at the pool, enjoying the great weather before they had to head home to the cold Utah weather.

Easter Fun

Easter is always the best time of the year, I love the smell in the air, the nice weather and most of all we are always reminded of the Resurrection of our Savior.

Our first Easter egg Hunt was with cousin Markessa at a park.

Half Marathon-London's Run

I don't know what I was thinking but my first run ever was a Half Marathon 13.2 miles!!! It actually turned out way better than I had imagined, I even ran the whole time without stopping to walk. I ran with my friend Amy Wilstead, my sister in law Tia, and Tia's friend Beth. I have to thank my wonderful husband for taking good care of the kids for the 2 hours and twenty minutes that I was gone. He helped them get breakfast, got their faces painted, helped them enjoy a run of their own, and they played in a bounce house.

Camping with the Kriloffs

We went on a camping trip with the Kriloff family-no joke it was freezing cold!!! We slept in the back of the Denali and we had to have the car on all night so that the heater would keep us warm, not to mention the fact that there wasn't much room for the four of us to sleep in the back of the car!
