First week in Utah

First real week in Utah!
I will post my vacation in two different posts,we were in Utah for 2 1/2 weeks and there was something pretty much planned for every day. The first half week you have already seen-it consisted of making it to Utah and the Ragnar race. The second week was full of fun.

Monday I hung out with my old neighbor and good friend Ashley and her kids-I actually don't have any pictures from this day.

Tuesday was not so much fun-it was a day at the dentist. My sister Katie made it funner(is that a word)than normal(she is a dental assistant so we were lucky to have her help with our teeth). The out come of our dental visit was-Mindee 2 cavities, Ashlyn 7 cavities-one of which was clear to the nerve, and Ryker 4 cavities. I never would have guessed-I promise I brush my kids teeth.
Ryker was brave and actually got his teeth cleaned. By the looks of the pictures you would think Ash was excited to be there!

Wednesday we swam with the family at my moms friends pool. We had a great time and it was a beautiful day.

Swimming with the cousins. From left to Right(Taylee, Ashlyn, Dylan, Grandma, Ryker, Jackson, Kaite).

Thursday we went to the Children's Treehouse Museum with my sister Katie and her son Jackson(we had so much fun Ashlyn asked if she could come back every day).

Friday We went to the Roy Aquatic center with Ashley and her kids-we spent over 4 hours there and the kids still didn't want to leave the pool!

The pool was a blast, the two kiddos you don't know are Sydney and Riley.

Saturday we went to the Syracuse days parade in Syracuse which was the city I moved to Arizona from(I really miss it there). After the parade we went back to my moms for some fun on her slip n' slide and kiddie pool as well as a BBQ and a swim in her neighbors pool.

I will post the second week when I get some more time!

Our trip to Utah

WE ARE ON OUR WAY!!!!!!

We left last Wednesday for Utah. We left early in the morning drove Peter to Mesquite where he spent the weekend golfing and drove the rest of the way to my home town of Layton. We have had a great time so far. I was only here for a day before I took on the challenge of running the Ragnar Relay(Wasatch Back) race. The race was a 181 mile race from Logan to Park City. You have a team of 12 and each team member runs 3 legs of the race. My legs were 3.5, 6.2, and 3.8 miles. The first two were easy but the last one literally about killed me. I had to climb 1500 ft. in elevation in 3.8 miles-I had to walk and I could barely do that! I don't normally choose to run straight up hill!!! Our team finished in 30 hours. Just want to say a quick thanks to Katie for letting me be part of her team and also for helping me make it up the last hill. It was a great time. I also want to say thanks to my wonderful supporters who waited at the finish line for three hours for my team to finish. Mom, Katie, Ashlyn, Ryker, and Jackson you are the best and you made the whole thing worth it. We will be in Utah till July 6th-so stay tuned for more fun vacation pictures.

The kids were so happy to get out and play once we finally got here 13 hours later......

Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay Race

The Ragnar Relay race is a crazy 24 hour race in which we ran from Huntsville UT. to Park City, UT., over 100 miles all in one day. There are 12 members of your team and each team member runs three legs of the race. Thank you so much to mom and Katie for watching the kids so that I could do the race and thanks for being such great supporters and being at the finish line when I was done.

Yes-you do sleep in the van!!! The van is where you eat, sleep and drink!

Happy Father's Day

We are so lucky to have Peter in our family. He is such a great husband and daddy. I am so thankful for all he has done to make it so I can be a stay at home mom, it has not been an easy thing to do-but the rewards of being with the kids day in and day out are worth more than any amount of money the two of us could ever make together. I asked the kids 5 reasons they are thankful for their daddy and this is what they came up with.

1. Daddy plays video games with us
2. Daddy watches movies with us
3. Daddy takes us to mutual when he can
4. Daddy takes me to Home Depot
5. Daddy lets us fix cars with him

Peter is always doing the things with the kids that I don't really feel like doing! They love their dad so much. They go crazy everyday when they hear the garage door open and daddy walks through the door.

Peter and I are also so thankful for our own dads and thankful for all that they have done for us. They are great dads and the best grandpas ever. We love you.

Water, Water, Water!!!

When you live in Arizona and it is 100+ degrees everyday through the summer there is not much to do except be in the water. We had a fun week. The week started out
with going to Tempe Town Lake Splash park with our friends the Wilsteads. And ended with a primary water activity and a trip on the boat. Our highlight of the week was both of the kids getting up on the new water ski-yes both of them(amazing!). Grams and grandpa bought a new trainer water ski for all the grandkids to use and it works perfect. As you can tell from the pictures Ryker wasn't too happy about it, but he did it. Daddy had to help out by holding onto the back of the ski while the kids started out(actually he held onto the ski the whole time with Ryker) but after Ash got her feet in and held onto the rope she was good to go and daddy let go. It was so fun to watch them. Be prepared for a lot more water pictures to come.

This is what an unhappy water skier looks like!
